eHealth Cluster Visits: March 2017 – Liverpool John Moores University

The second in our series of visits to places of interest for eHealth Cluster members took place on 20th March.

A group of commissioners, technology companies and social care providers visited Liverpool John Moores University at their Byrom Street Campus.

We were treated to a tour of facilities, hearing about the research going on in the Public Health Institute, learning about the Sensors for Health Care and how they have developed.

We then visited the Exemplar houses – 3 new houses have been built in the car park on the site and we saw the use of sensors in home scenarios. There was lots of opportunity for questions and discussion which sparked lots of ideas amongst cluster members.
