An insight into the importance of digital accessibility for your business
3 March 2016
This Creative Kitchen event is hosted by Studio Mashbo, and is an introduction to web accessibility: why it’s so important, how it works and what you can do to prepare your website, products and services. Innovate UK: Technology-inspired Innovation
Deadline: 9th March 2016 (although has been delayed)
Up to £2million available for technical feasibility studies to stimulate innovation across four enabling technology areas: advanced materials; biosciences; electronics, sensors and photonics; and information and communication technologies (ICT). More information here

BT Infinity Lab – Connected Cities
Deadline: 11 March 2016
Connected Cities is the latest in a series of competitions created to showcase SME digital innovation. BT has teamed up with Milton Keynes and TechHub to find the UK’s most innovative digital small businesses. They’re looking for SMEs that will make a big difference to the cities of the future through imaginative digital products or services, and offering £7,500 prizes in each of  three categories: Smart City, Connected Society, and Internet of Things. The overall winner will receive an additional £7,500 and six months’ membership at TechHub. Find out more and apply here

INNOV8 Award 2016
Deadline: March 11th 2016
Business Rocks is seeking startups to win £50k at the Innov8 awards.This April 100 global start-ups will do battle over 2 days, 3 stages and try to get past 20 judges, for a chance of winning the prize. Information and application here

Tax Credits Masterclass
18th March
Merseyside Social Enterprise Network (SEN) are running a masterclass on the 18th March with JumpstartUK  to raise awareness about how to get tax credits on R & D activity where a business is eligible. The criteria for the tax credit is complex and is explained here. The Wearable Technology Show 2016
15th & 16th March 2016
Event for wearables, augmented reality, IOT and smart devices, offering delegates an opportunity to hear from some of the leading experts in wearable technology, view the latest product demonstrations from around the world and network with the industry. Booking and details here

TSA Code of Practice Auditing Opportunities
The TSA Integrated Telecare and Telehealth Code of Practice is the measure of quality for Technology Enabled Care Services (TECS). The scheme has been running for over 15 years and has accredited 130 organisations across the UK. They are looking to recruit innovative and ambitious people who have experience of the Technology Enabled Care Industry to join their team of auditors covering Scotland, Northern England, London, Eastern England, Southern England and the South West of England.Their inspections are carried out by independent, self-employed auditors, who are currently from a technology enabled care service provision background and, although this is beneficial, it is not essential. They intend to hold an open meeting on the afternoon of 22nd March 2016, where suitable candidates will be invited to attend their offices in Wilmslow to find out more about the scheme and how you can become an inspector. Creative Kitchen- March Developer Breakfast
23rd March
The latest Creative Kitchen event , organised by cluster member Studio Mashbo, is a free Developer Breakfast at Panna, Titehebarn Street, Liverpool. The Developer Breakfast is “our chin-wag we host in order to share experiences, vent constructively and naturally build a Liverpool community of developers, creatives, designers and technically-minded entrepreneurs.” More details and sign up here
